ER RN position at St Alexius Health Devils Lake Hospital
Contract length : 13 weeks
Fast-paced environment with diverse patient population
Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 4 for stable patients, 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 for critically ill patients
Experience required : 2 years, preferably with travel experience
Job Requirements
Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
Must be able to mix medications and assist with respiratory meds / equipment / intubation
Critical thinking skills and effective communication are essential
Must have experience with acute illnesses and severe injuries
Schedule Information
Shifts : 7a, 7p, 7p-7a - rotating days / nights
Weekend Requirements : 2 out of 6 weekends
Holiday Requirements : Yes, with consideration for RTO
No call requirement, but OT opportunity if needed
Unit Specific Information
2 days of unit / department specific orientation
Common areas ER staff might float to : Medical Surgical unit
Additional Details
Common diagnoses include acute illness, severe injuries, chest pain, respiratory distress, neurological issues, and psychiatric emergencies
