Certification Details BLS ACLS NIHSS PALS Job Details ICU RN position at St Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center Common diagnoses / Types of patients : DKA, sepsis pts, respiratory failure, cardiac(rate and rhythm control), medical detox, art lines, CVP Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 2-3 depending on acuity RNs required to titrate drips : Yes RN required to read and interpret telemetry strips Job Requirements Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS & TNCC / TCAR / or experience with the care of trauma patients FIT TESTING / FACIAL HAIR- clinicians with facial hair must pass a fit test Schedule Information Shifts : 7-7 Director makes schedule Requires working weekends and holidays where there is need Floating Requirements : MS or ER (for 1 : 1) RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved. Unit Specific Information of Beds : 4 How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? : 3- 12 hour shifts Additional Details Attributes that make a nurse successful in this unit include coachability, motivation, ability to understand and coach unsafe situations, and teamwork Radius Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit.
