Job Details
ICU RN position at St Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center
Contract length : 13 weeks
Department : ICU RN
Common diagnoses include DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac issues, medical detox, art lines, CVP.
Job Requirements
Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC / TCAR / or experience with the care of trauma patients
RNs required to titrate drips
RN required to read and interpret telemetry strips
Schedule Information
Shifts : 7 PM to 7 AM
Director makes schedule
Weekend and holiday requirements : Will work where there is a need
Floating requirements : MS or ER for 1 : 1 care
3 shifts of unit / department specific orientation
Unit Specific Information
Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Those typical to an ICU
RT Equipment : Nasal cannula to vent
RN required to read and interpret telemetry strips
Additional Details
Radius Rule : 50 miles
No clinical involvement
Fit testing required for clinicians with facial hair
Attributes for success : coachability, motivation, ability to understand and coach unsafe situations, teamwork
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved.
