Job Details
Ultrasound Tech position at St Alexius Health Williston Medical Center
Department : Sonographer
Common types of imaging / studies performed : OB ltd, OB 2nd and 3tri, OB follow up, OB transvag, Gyn, Abdomen, breast, soft tissue, thyroid, scrotum, venous doppler, carotid, etc.
Must have experience / skills : Comfortable with non-echo, vascular studies, 2 years experience, compassionate care, attention to detail, quality imaging, ability to use computer technology.
Average # of scans / studies per day : 6-8, with option to add-on extras
EMR and / or PACS used : McKesson, CRTIS, Meditech
Department Specific Equipment : Philips Epiq 5, Epiq Elite, Mindray (backup)
Radiologist in-house : Telerads available 24 hours
Shifts & Scheduling : M-F 0730-1600 with occasional call
Weekend Requirements : Occasional weekend call when other travelers are out of town
Holiday Requirements : Outpatient scheduling closed during holidays, traveler may choose to work or take the day off
Call Response time : 20 minutes
Scrub Color / Dress Code : Gray scrubs, not provided
Orientation : 1 week, longer if needed
Additional Notes : Limited on-call, filling needs for outpatient schedule and add-on ultrasounds from the clinic M-F.
