The Advancement Office has a full-time opening for an Assistant Director of Advancement Communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, execution, and evaluation of a comprehensive communications strategy for University Advancement, which includes Development, Donor Stewardship, Alumni and Community Engagement. This individual is charged with engaging audiences through compelling storytelling and presentation. They must manage communications and marketing projects by ensuring key audiences and differentiated messaging are reflected in all materials, and that resulting materials are of high quality and completed on time. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 3 to 5 years communication experience, preferably in a higher education setting or closely related area of philanthropy. Knowledge of software, statistical analysis and program management a plus; proficiency on a personal computer using Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet, Microsoft Word Processing software, the internet and e-mail are required. Individual must have strong creative, organizational, analytical skills; effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and ability to exercise independent judgment when making decisions and problem-solving.
