Key Responsibilities Include:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor our eSports team, fostering a supportive and competitive environment for student-athletes.
- Strategy and Training: Develop and implement effective training programs and strategies to enhance team performance in various esports titles.
- Recruitment: Recruit talented student-athletes who align with our university's values and goals for eSports excellence.
- Game Analysis: Analyze gameplay footage, scout opponents, and strategize for upcoming matches and tournaments.
- Student Success: Monitor academic progress of team members and provide support resources.
- Community Engagement: Engage with the university community, alumni, and eSports industry to promote our program and enhance viability.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred, with a focus on coaching, sports management, or related fields.
- Experience: Proven experience in coaching eSports teams at a competitive level, preferably in a collegiate or professional setting.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of eSports titles, strategies, player development and compliance with National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) rules.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and emphasize the health, welfare and academic success of student athletes.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate practice schedules and competitions.
