The St. Ambrose University Counseling Center seeks a 32 hour per week, 10 month Mental Health Outreach and Prevention Specialist. Reporting to the Director of the Counseling Center, responsibilities include collaborating with the St. Ambrose community to assess student mental health needs, develop, implement and evaluate evidence-based interventions across campus to support student persistence and resilience. Developing workshops, group interventions, and partnering with on campus entities to promote wellness initiatives related to mental health. Other duties may include individual counseling sessions, crisis intervention, assessment, collaboration with other professionals, presentations and advisory responsibility to student groups or organizations. The successful candidate will have at minimum, a master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field. Previous experience working in outreach, education. Marketing or public presentations is required. .
