Join Our Team! Middle School and Upper School Fall Athletics Coaches Wanted
St. Andrew’s School is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated football coaches to lead our Middle School football teams this fall season. These are part-time, seasonal positions—perfect for individuals with coaching experience, a strong background in the sport, or simply a deep love of the game.
We’re looking for coaches who are passionate about working with young athletes, understand the fundamentals of the sport, and can foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead practices that build skills, strategy, and team cohesion.
Coach and manage the team during games and events.
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all athletes.
Help students grow both individually and as a team.
Promote sportsmanship, effort, and discipline on and off the field.
Maintain open communication with players, parents, and school staff.
Work collaboratively with assistant coaches, the athletic director, and faculty.
Assist in coordinating games, tournaments, and team-related events.
Ensure all activities align with school policies and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
Prior coaching experience preferred, especially with middle school or youth teams.
Strong knowledge of sport-specific skills, drills, and strategies.
Confident leadership and clear communication skills.
Positive attitude and ability to motivate young athletes.
Availability for practices (typically after school) and games (some evenings/weekends).
Passion for promoting fitness, teamwork, and character development.
Must pass a background check.
Required:
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before the season).
Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working with middle school students.
