Position Summary:

Ranger:

                        Responsible for keeping the flow of play moving at a reasonable pace.  

            Member Assistance:      

                        Assist Members in their needs; provide refreshments, (water, fruit, cold towels)

            Emergencies:

                        Know and understand our emergency policies and procedures.

                        Be certified in CPR/ AED

            Starter:

                        All Rangers need to be able to fill in at the Starter’s Booth and know the

                        Rules of the Club

Qualifications

Essential Responsibilities (Includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned.):

• Must know and understand Club rules as well as credo card basic standards.  NO MEMBER OR GUEST SHALL EVER CARRY OR LIFT THEIR OWN CLUBS.
• Make decisions regarding pace of play issues.
• Know the rules of the Club regarding Golf, Guests, Dress Code etc.
• Remind Members of Rules violations to bring them into compliance.   Report all violations not rectified.
• Know thoroughly all Starters Responsibilities and be able to assume duties as Starter if needed.
• Be courteous at all times.
• Dispense water and refreshments as determined by the Golf Committee and/or Director of Golf.
• If needed and time permitting help maintain practice areas (Putting and Chipping Greens)
• Attend morning line-ups and monthly Staff Meetings.
•  Follow twenty basic Standards outlined on “Credo Card”

• Individual must be service-oriented person. 
• Additionally, they must possess a basic knowledge of golf  and the equipment used in playing the game.

• Must be physically able to handle the demands of lifting golf bags, clubs, boxes, bending over, crouching, etc. 

• Additionally, must be able to handle the stress of some very busy situations.

• The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma and or G.E.D. 
• One month related experience and /or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Basic knowledge of the game of golf.          

Compensation:

• Salary is commensurate with experience.
