About the position
St. Anne's-Belfield School seeks a full-time mathematics teacher and advisor. This role relies on someone who can confidently teach algebra through calculus and collaborate effectively with co-teachers of the same courses. A successful teacher in this position can explain concepts clearly, employ tools to make learning visible, adapt their practices to a modular schedule , and communicate effectively with students.
Full-time classroom teaching experience, strong organizational and classroom management skills, and the ability to joyfully teach adolescents are required. Ideal candidates will have experience teaching high school-aged students in a standards-based learning environment (SBL), have experience teaching 90-minute classes, and hold a master's degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or a related field.
As an independent school, we value community involvement and expect that the selected candidate will serve as a coach, and / or lead extracurricular programming beyond the classroom. The position will start on August 1, 2025, but hiring for the role is happening now.
