K-5 Spanish Teacher

The school community is seeking a qualified K-5 Spanish Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
The applicant will be required to teach a lower elementary school grade This is a part-time position.
Qualifications and job description:
Candidates must possess:
- A bachelor’s degree
A valid California Teaching credential* (or a reciprocal credential from another state)
- Fluently speaks Spanish
- Teaching experience with children
- Demonstrated communication skills with parents, faculty, and students.
- Ability to utilize technology in a classroom environment and to integrate technology on a daily basis
- Commitment to excellence and rigor

- Possess demonstrable, effective teaching ability and a clearly enjoys working with children.

- Have comfort and skill with a variety of technologies, experience with Beehively a plus.
- Essential Functions
- Prepare materials and classroom for class activities and instruction.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
- Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
- Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.
- Meet with parents to discuss their children's progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs.
- Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of elementary school programs.
- Work effectively with colleagues to ensure a consistent learning experience for all students.
- Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence.
* If the candidate does not yet possess a valid California teaching credential, (s)he must acquire one within five years of the date of hire
