St. Anthony Catholic School after-school program is designed to provide quality supervision for students whose parents need after school childcare. Care is provided until all students are picked up by their parent/guardian at 6 pm. Hours for workers may vary depending on need for staff and workers must be flexible to work with students from ages 4-14. It is imperative for all workers to remain calm, positive and upbeat so as to provide a nurturing atmosphere for all students.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• To provide after-school supervision for students.
• During after-school care, workers will provide adequate time for older students to do homework.
• During after-school care, workers will provide supervised playtime outside (weather permitting) to provide a safe and positive environment.
• Workers must be able to stand for extended periods of time and walk around supervising playground and classroom activities. Some stooping, lifting, bending, crouching and reaching are required.
• Workers must be able to operate a two-way radio and speak clearly to communicate with the office staff and students.
• After-school care workers will take attendance at each session.
• After-school care workers perform other duties as assigned.
