Description
Saint Anthony Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Florida Certified English/Language Arts Teacher for the 2025-2026 Academic school year. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid Florida Educators certification and be self-motivated and energetic. Experience in evaluating, documenting, and communicating individual student growth, differentiation strategies, classroom management, and willingness to participate in professional development opportunities is a plus. Applicants must be comfortable in a Catholic faith-based setting with a dedication to the Saint Anthony Catholic School mission.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Organize and direct lessons and activities related to the standards.
- Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines.
- Provide a grade-appropriate instructional program of engaging and interactive activities/lessons for Middle School.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of Saint Anthony Catholic School and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.
- Assess and document student progress.
- Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge, and engage students.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
- Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and professional development opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration.
- Integrate technology effectively into the classroom.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from an Accredited College or University.
- Current Florida Teaching Certificate.
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred.
- Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.
- Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church.
- Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals, or laws of the Church or the policies of the diocese.
