St. Anthony Catholic School was founded in 1884. We are a historic and picturesque VPK-8th grade school located in San Antonio, Florida, about 35 minutes north of Tampa. We are the oldest, longest running school in the Diocese of St. Petersburg and one of the oldest schools in the state.

Job Description:
St. Anthony Catholic School is looking for a part-time school counselor to begin in the 2025-2026 school year. The counselor is a professional member of our staff who assists the principal in the integration of school-based counseling services for the school community. Qualified candidates possess a Masters in Counselor Education and have a minimum of three years experience in the field.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Acts as an advocate for all students
- Works in collaboration with teachers and school administration when student concerns arise that impede their learning
- Counsels students as needed with academic, behavioral or personal/social concerns
- Assists students in developing a plan for achieving educational, behavioral and personal/social goals
- Implements a comprehensive school counseling program by teaching monthly guidance lessons to grades K-8
- Implements student support plans
Goals:
- Confers with classroom teachers, administration, support staff, community agencies and parents regarding students and their needs
- Coordinates with school and community agencies to broaden students' resources
- Seeks resources necessary to achieve school goals
- Follows the guidelines of the national, state and district standards for professional school counselors
- Adheres to ethical and legal professional standards
- Performs other related duties, as required
- Knowledge of IDEA beneficial
Must be willing to uphold the teachings of the Catholic faith.

Pay: $25,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
