Job Description:
St. Anthony School is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to provide engaging, hands-on art instruction to students in grades 3-8. This is a temporary, part-time position for one day a week (Fridays) through the end of the school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore their creativity while developing foundational art skills and an appreciation for artistic expression.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging art lessons tailored to various age groups.
Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment.
Provide instruction in different art techniques, mediums, and styles.
Integrate Catholic values and themes into art projects when appropriate.
Manage classroom materials and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Assess student progress and provide feedback.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field (preferred).
Experience teaching art to elementary and middle school students.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with school staff.
Commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
Understanding of Catholic school values and mission (preferred but not required).
