What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exercise Physiologist position at St. Anthony Hospital?

As ab Exercise Physiologist you will assist the cardiac rehabilitation team to educate and provide exercise leadership for in-patients and out-patients with the goal to restore optimal functional activity. While in this position you will gathers exercise data and implements specialized strength and conditioning programs for patients under the direction of an Exercise Physiologist, Nurse or Physician.
- Previous Cardiopulmonary Rehab or other clinical experience, preferred
- Training to include Phase I, Phase II and Phase III exercise leadership in hospital setting
- Knowledge of exercise, nutrition and social coping skills for behavioral modification applicable to Cardiac Rehab
- Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related from an accredited university or college
- 12 Lead ECG competency, preferred or within 90 days of hire
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required
- ACLS from the American Heart Association preferred
This is a full time EP role that works 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (may vary occassionally) at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood.
