Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular surveillance of healthcare-associated infections to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure adherence to infection control practices during patient care.
- Provide education and training to healthcare personnel on infection prevention strategies and protocols.
- Analyze data related to infection rates and present findings to leadership for quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate medical records related to infection control activities while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary committees focused on quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
