VPK Director for 2025-2026 School Year

Position: Part-time Salaried, Contract
Reports to: Head of School
Supervises: 1 full-time VPK Teacher and 1 full-time Assistant Teacher
Ensure the effective functioning and delivery of a superior Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the primary lead administrator
- Ensuring a safe environment for the children in our care.
- Ensuring curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices are routinely in place.
- Assisting teachers with the weekly development and execution of the curriculum and program activities as needed.
- Proactively initiate and maintain effective communications with all of the school’s constituents (parents, school personnel, alumni, church members, Board of Trustees, community partners) via email, newsletters (print and electronic), social media as directed by the Head of School
- Review and discuss student assessments with teacher 3 times per year.
- Report via written communication about program updates and concerns to the Head of School on a monthly basis or as should circumstances arise on an as-needed basis.
- Meet all State of Florida Department of Education as well as Volusia / Flagler Early Learning Coalition compliance regulations, requirements, procedures and deadlines.
- Participate with the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management with prospective parents and enrolling new VPK students.
- Ensuring licensing standards are met and assisting in the accreditation process for the program and school.
- Monitoring and managing the financial progress, attendance records, monthly payment posting, enrollment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Meet all state licensing requirements, including:
Bachelor’s degree with 12 credits in early childhood, child development.
Full-time teaching experience in a preschool or child daycare center, family or group family day care home or other early childhood program and experience supervising staff.
FL State Children's Program Administrator Credential with VPK endorsement.
Preferred - Have at least one year of management experience in a licensed preschool or childcare facility.
