We are seeking a dedicated Grant Writer to join our team at St. Barnabas Health System, Inc. This role is essential in securing funding for our senior living facilities as well as related charitable initiatives. The Grant Writer will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission through effective grant proposals and strategic fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission.
- Write compelling grant proposals and applications to secure funding from various sources.
- Edit and proofread grant submissions to ensure clarity and adherence to guidelines.
- Develop and maintain a database of grant opportunities and deadlines.
- Collaborate with program directors to gather necessary information for grant proposals.
- Prepare financial reports and budgets as required by funding agencies.
- Manage contracts related to awarded grants and ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Assist in program development initiatives that align with funding opportunities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in grant writing or fundraising within the senior care, healthcare sectors or related non-profit organizations.
- Strong research skills to identify funding sources and understand their requirements.
- Excellent editing and proofreading abilities to ensure high-quality submissions.
- Familiarity with financial report writing and budget preparation is essential.
- Experience with databases for tracking grants and deadlines is preferred.
- Strategic planning skills to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
- Knowledge of contract management processes is beneficial but not required.
