Job Description :
- The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the healthcare system within the scope of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. Ensures awareness of ethical standards of practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
- Responsible for ensuring safety in practice, incorporating principles of evidence-based practice, and maintaining a self-awareness of individual knowledge and experience levels.
- Takes responsibility for advancing personal and team members' knowledge through communication and use of available resources.
- Reports safety issues, such as hazardous environments and medical errors, to maintain a safe practice setting.
- Has a strong understanding of the patient population served.
- Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
- Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions aimed at measurable outcomes for improvement.
- Functions as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize plans to address specific patient needs.
Note : RN must be willing to float to other psych units and meet professional obligations, including working every other weekend and holidays.
