St. Bernard Hospital is searching for a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will have hospital experience and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, as well as the ability to provide high-quality specimen collections. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 5:00am - 1:30pm and Saturdays (as needed)
Qualifications:
- High diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Completion of accredited Phlebotomy training program.
- Certified Phlebotomist by an accredited Phlebotomy board.
- Six (6) months of full-time experience in Phlebotomy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Select appropriate site for vein Puncture (are, hand, etc.) assemble equipment and collect specimen(s) using correct draw and according to policy and procedure.
- Use proper cleansing and aseptic technique to collect blood cultures.
- Collect capillary specimens via skin puncture of finger, big toe or heel into capillary tube or microtainer.
- Always verify pediatric orders and minimum blood volumes prior to collection from pediatric patient.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.40 - $20.40 per hour
