The Hospital Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. They act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions, as well as detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts, which may be a threat to the property, patients, guests or employees. Investigates minor complaints of a security nature; and escorts staff, visitors, and patients, as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- PERC certification
- 20 hours security certification.
- Valid Illinois Driver’s license with good driving record.
