What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Attendant position at St. Bonaventure University?
Accountable for the various functions relating to the opening and closing of the golf shop. Ensures an accurate accounting of all transactions, collections and disbursements. Receives cash drawer at beginning and ending of shift to verify accuracy. Coordinates functions relating to cash management and golf shop operations in accordance with established University policies.
Responsible to check in customers (green fee players and members), booking tee times, collecting greens fees and golf cart rentals, processing sales, selling golf merchandise and equipment, assisting with leagues and tournaments, starting players at their tee times, and monitoring pace of play.
Informs players of course conditions, prices, special events, hours of operation, etc. Keeps a watchful eye on first tee; knows who is on the course. Enforces all rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf carts and other golf facilities.
Work includes general interior and exterior maintenance activities to the golf shop and general sales area, including raking, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors, ensures all surfaces and displays are clean and attractive and empty's trash. Readies golf carts for rental to customers (empty trash, wash off spills and excess mud); sets aside carts for reserved tee times.
Golf Course Experience Preferred
