Job Description
Looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Director of Finance. The Director of Finance is responsible for maintaining and overseeing general ledger, daily cashflow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, patient billing as well as preparing the monthly financial statements and the annual operating budget. Responsible for overseeing the Finance and Patient Financial Services departments.
Job Duties Include:
- Prepares and assists in the annual operating budget process.
- Accurately prepares and finalizes monthly financial statements. Completes financial reports for the CFO and Finance Committee.
- Coordinates the annual and Interim independent audit and 403b audit including preparation of workpapers and confirmations.
- Maintains General Ledger and Fixed Asset ledgers
- Maintains and understands various aspects of third-party reimbursement (Medicaid rate sheets analysis, third party cost report audits, etc.).
- Quarterly HUD reporting - financial statement submissions.
- Oversees, delegates, compiles and submits all annual cost reports for both Medicare and New York State.
- Prepares monthly census reports and statistical information
- Reviews and oversees monthly bank reconciliations, quarterly payroll reports for Federal and State, quarterly sales tax reporting, quarterly C N A reimbursement report to the DOH, semi-annual Gas Sales Tax refund report to the State, and annual payroll reports.
- Oversees all cash functions (daily receipts/deposits, cash reconciliations, daily cash status reports, Accounts Payable check disbursements).
- Establishes criteria for and is responsible for monitoring the days in receivables
- Performs other duties as assigned by the CFO
Education and Experience Requirements
Eligible candidates meet the following criteria:
- Must possess, at a minimum, a four-year Accounting or Finance degree. 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare finance preferred.
- 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
