Job Standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a 2-year technical degree or technical training certifications are required.
- Universal refrigeration license desirable.
- High or Low pressure boiler license desirable.
- Minimum of three years of experience in one of the following fields; Plant Operations, Environmental Services or Construction. Installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment as well as the mechanical system monitoring is necessary.
- Strong mechanical ability and aptitude. In-depth knowledge of various construction and maintenance principles and procedures.
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC including water and pressure testing.
- Must have the ability to weld and cut metals.
- Responds diligently as well as efficiently with work orders and is accountable for work performed.
- Basic knowledge of computers, Wifi and TV cable systems.
- May work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
- May be required to work with rotating “On Call” and “Weekend shift Schedules”.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding maintenance tasks, which include the ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift objects weighing up to 80 lbs, move furniture and appliances, set up rooms special events and speakers, maintains and stores equipment.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or residential facility desirable.
- Must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
- Able to safely perform essential functions of the job without harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodation.
