Organizes and administers the volunteer program. Recruits, trains, supervises and supports a competent, adequate and satisfied staff of volunteers to work in all areas of Hospice. Provides grief counseling to friends and family members of Hospice patients. Coordinates fund raising activities.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

High School Diploma/G.E.D.

College courses in human services or equivalent work experience (Required)

Masters Degree in Social Work or related field or comparable education, experience and certification.(Preferred)

One year in a human services area working with volunteer recruitment and supervision preferred. 3 years' experience providing grief or emotional support to patients, families and staff.

Current driver's license and auto insurance required.

This role covers our Monday through Thursday (10-hour shifts) needs with some weekends required. This role works in Garden City as a hybrid role. We are looking for candidates who have 1-2 years of experience working with volunteers, accounting knowledge, and regulatory knowledge.
