Position Summary
SCC is seeking an Academic Scheduling Coordinator to assist with leadership with academic schedules, curriculum management, and tracking documentation and materials for the Academic Affairs department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supports implementation of program approvals, updates, policies, and directives in accordance with accreditation and governmental guidelines.
- Coordinates the production of academic schedules in compliance with the given timeline.
- Assists with the revision of the credit class schedule to resolve issues affecting student registration and billing.
- Provides leadership and guidance pertaining to schedule development and coordination, compliance with institutional policies, and operational communication to academic division administrative assistants.
- Reviews and monitors course schedule to forecast academic scheduling needs.
- Independently organize and perform complex technical data management duties in the information database as well as in the room reservation / class scheduling software solution.
- Create and maintain course, section, faculty and space inventory files for required enrollment management reports, audits, and operational functions.
- Maintains college web pages related to SCC curriculum including course descriptions, majors, general education requirements and degrees and certificates requirements.
- Maintains files for curriculum, credit courses, and programs.
- Supports the maintenance of institutional Articulation Agreements and supports Academic Operations to collaborate and develop academic partnerships.
- Supports the collection of data for needs assessment related to development, implementation, and evaluation of educational curriculum and instructional methods.
- Reports to Academic Operations senior leadership.
- Tracks documentation and materials in the design and development of comprehensive curriculum aligning with educational and accreditation standards.
- Promotes the integration of technical solutions for scheduling and curriculum management.
- Other duties as assigned.
