The Assistant Coach - Cross Country/Track & Field will assist the Head Coach in the organization, management, and administration of a NJCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country program.

The Assistant Coach - Cross Country/Track & Field will assist the Head Coach in the organization, management, and administration of a NJCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Achieving a high level of competence in sport skill instruction, motivation, and conduct of practice sessions.
- Providing effective sport instruction during meets.
- Recruiting student-athletes effectively under the direction of the Athletic Director.
- Exhibiting the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NJCAA, MCCAC, College and the Department of Athletics Code of Conduct.
- Achieving competitive results that demonstrate athletic excellence.
- Demonstrating a sincere interest in the social, emotional, academic development, as well as the athletic welfare of student-athletes.
- Exhibiting supportive and cooperative behavior in pursuing sport program goals established by the Athletic Director.
- Exhibiting leadership and professional behavior in dealing with student-athletes.
- Completing all assignments given by the Director of Athletics including but not limited to recruitment and fundraising.
- Participating in department meetings and workshops to increase professional skills and knowledge.
- Contributing to the maintenance of good working relationships within the Athletic Department and with the rest of the college community.
- Assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
- Coaching experience at the college level (head/assistant), head or assistant coach at the senior high school level, or as a college or professional player.
- Demonstrate effective organizational, promotional, recruitment, fundraising, and computer skills.
- Knowledge of PrestoSports.
- Experience with NJCAA compliance matters and the MVP site.
- Experience with NJCAA rules and regulations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, cross country track and field coaching experience at the college level (head/assistant), head or assistant men's cross country track and field coach at the senior high school level, intercollegiate playing experience.
- Demonstrate effective organizational, promotional, recruitment, fund raising, and computer skills.
- The successful candidate will be a person of integrity with high ethical standards and exhibit a strict adherence to NJCAA, College, departmental rules and regulations, and a commitment to student achievement in academics.
