SCC seeks a full-time Enrollment Services Specialist to serve in our Enrollment Services Department.
SUMMARY
This position provides direct services to future, new, current and returning students in a face to face, phone and electronic environment. This position provides services to all students in the areas of; admission processing, on boarding, registration navigation and processing, and academic records information. This position processes all documents associated with admission to the college, registration for course work, in bound entrance test scores, transcripts, course schedule adjustments, student status changes, and allied health program test registration. This position provides optimal service to students and to stakeholders in an efficient and timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide direct service to students providing assistance with all aspects of the admission process, including but not limited to processing transcripts, test scores, and residence issues. Interpret student file information and informs students of missing admissions documents, how transcript and test score information determines placement or the need for assessment, and the next steps to complete admission toward course enrollment.
Process all inbound admission documents necessary for a student to be fully admitted to the college.
Provide direct service to all students by providing concise and accurate information regarding all aspects of course registration navigation including but not limited to portal sign on, use of student course planning tools, self-service degree audits and progress monitoring, and actual course registration and modification (drop/add, schedule changes, withdrawals, etc.).
Provide optimal services to students and campus stakeholders regardless of the mode of communication.
Responsible for archiving student records, ordering and maintaining general office supplies and equipment, sorting inbound mail, creating fliers for tabletop displays, organizing and maintaining display rack materials, maintaining accurate knowledge of current college programs and policies/procedures and technology navigation.
Assist with the planning and implementation of division wide programs and functions.
Assist with State and Institutional reporting.
Assist with the revision of the division procedures manual.
Assist with other duties and events as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Minimum one-year relevant full time experience with preference to three years' experience in a college education setting, or direct service environment. Data entry and the ability to learn customized programs quickly. Customer service and general office experience required. Must be friendly, demonstrate a high level of professionalism in the work environment, and be an excellent communicator (in both written and spoken modes).
