St. Charles Community College (SCC) is located just west of St. Louis, in the heart of growing St. Charles County. At SCC, we have a passion for student success. St. Charles Community College seeks qualified candidates to join its English Department for the position of two (2) fixed-term full-time English Faculty for the 25-26 academic year, beginning in Fall 2025. Experience teaching composition is especially desirable and will be a major part of the selected candidate(s) teaching load.
Interested applicants should submit a cover letter and curriculum vita (which should include at least three professional references), and a brief teaching philosophy statement of no more than two single-spaced pages.
Priority consideration will be given to applicants whose materials are received by April 21, 2025.
Minimum Qualifications: MA in English (including Literature and/or Creative Writing)
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching first- and second-year students in English and/or Writing. Experience using a Learning Management System (Canvas, Blackboard, etc.).
