JOB OVERVIEW : The purpose of this position is to provide career counseling and intensive job readiness to adults and youth; assess and coordinate job training programs; and recruit, coordinate, manage, document and supervise worksites. The work is performed under the direction of the Assistant Director in cooperation with the One-stop Operator.RESPONSIBILITIES : Conducts intake, determine eligibility and provide employability assessment of individual job seekersDocuments all services according to governmental guidelines and maintain job seekers file with extensive case notesProvides individual and group career counseling for both adults and youth.Participate in the creation, implementation and facilitation of career workshops.Provides continual and consistent support and follow-up to job seekers. Assists individuals in the development of their resume and cover letters.Document services and actions according to policy directivesParticipates in community outreach and develop familiarity with social services available in the County that best meet the needs of participants.Maintain confidentiality standards.Assists with special projects.Assists in the resource room and / or in triage services.Assists in the operations of job fairs and other Center sponsored events.Greets customers and provides customer service. Answers phones.
