Advanced Practice Provider – Gastroenterology
Join the Gastroenterology team at St. Charles Health System, providing high-quality care in both outpatient and occasional inpatient settings. Work collaboratively with board-certified GI surgeons, community providers, and a supportive care team.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time, 40 hrs/week (36 hours of patient contact)
- Participate in call rotation with coverage on evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Outpatient-focused, with some inpatient consults and rounding
- Care for adult and pediatric patients
- Work under a collaborative model with physician oversight
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct medical histories, physical exams, diagnostic tests, and documentation
- Prescribe medications and assist in pre/post-op care
- Interpret labs/imaging and initiate appropriate referrals
- Maintain EMR records and ensure compliance with billing standards
- Contribute to care team collaboration and improvement of quality health measures
Qualifications:
- Licensed PA-C or NP in Oregon (FNP, ANP, or equivalent)
- NCCPA or NP board certification; DEA and BLS required (ACLS for sedation)
- EMR experience (Epic preferred); excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Preferred: Experience in Gastroenterology, trauma, or acute care surgery
