Job Description:
As an Assistant Site Supervisor you will work closely with the Site Supervisor and project management team in overseeing construction projects to ensure running efficiently, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest safely and quality standards from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction sites, with a specific focus on the complexities of rehabilitation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Coordination:
o Support the Site Supervisor in management, coordination, and execution of rehabilitation projects.
o Coordinate with various team members, including subcontractors, project manager, and property managers.
o Coordination of deliverables and supplier communications.
2. Reporting:
o Report construction activity to the Supervisor, including issues that may arise with subcontractors.
3. Quality Assurance:
o Assist the Supervisor with unit inspections to ensure work meets drawings, associated codes, quality standards and specifications.
o Monitor subcontractors to ensure safe work practices are being exercised.
4. Communication:
o Serve as a liaison between subcontractors and the Supervisor to facilitate effective communication.
5. Problem Solving:
o Identify and address project issues and conflicts by timely reporting them to the Supervisor.
6. Administrative Support:
o Print and organize necessary documentation for contractors and residents. o Manage inventory, report theft, vandalism and provide assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
• Education: Preferred but not required. Associate degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. OSHA Training (10 and/or 30-hour) is a plus.
• Experience: 1-5 years of experience in construction preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
