Events Overview:
Event staff are essential in making unforgettable experiences for our members at St. Clair Country Club. Whether it’s weddings, business meetings, showers, or birthday parties, we do it all. Our event spaces consist of a spacious ballroom accommodating up to 300 guests, along with four smaller rooms suitable for gatherings of 15 to 50 guests. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic setting, possesses exceptional attention to detail, and can sustain high levels of energetic professionalism in a multitude of settings.
Banquet Supervisor Overview:
The goal of the Banquet Supervisor is to monitor the daily functions of the banquet team effectively and proactively. Ability to interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and execute events accordingly. At the same time, communicating closely with department heads to ensure a successful event resulting in a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities:
· Oversees banquet operations and ensures that all banquet service details are executed.
· Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) at the beginning of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted.
· Provide training to the event staff.
· Must be a proficient bartender.
· Executes events in the absence of the banquet manager.
· Maintains all equipment and facilities in an organized, clean, safe environment.
· Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns.
· Be an active liaison between guests.
· Maintain company procedures and policies.
· Complete administrative tasks as assigned by the banquet manager.
· Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
· Responsible for end-of-shift duties including, but not limited to, billing, cleaning event space, and all work areas, returning banquet bar inventory, billing, setting room for the next event, and releasing staff.
· Partner with the culinary department to provide timely and accurate food service.
· Represent the club in handling complaints from guests.
· Take initiative when issues arise.
· Assists management in supervising service personnel to ensure that member satisfaction and presentation standards are consistently attained.
· Supervises and directs banquet staff during all phases of a catered event (prep, setup, execution, cleanup)
Qualifications:
· 1 year banquet experience
· 1 year fine dining experience
· Bartending experience (preferred but not required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
