Position PurposeThe St. Clair County Help Desk Supervisor/Computer Technician is responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining of 900 workstations and peripherals.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Essential Functions, Tasks, Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise help desk activitiesComputer set up maintenance and diagnostics of networks.Removing and replacing all major hardware components.Set up Intel based computers including hardware and software configuration.Diagnose and reconfigure mother board, power supply, memory, peripherals and Laser printers.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Knowledge, Skills and Mental AptitudeWorking knowledge of Personal Computer hardware and related peripherals.Working knowledge of Personal Computer operating systems and related software.Must be detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.Good communication skills are necessary to interact with other County employees.The ability to learn and retain the skills needed to operate complex information technology; applications, both “off the shelf” and in house developed.The ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
