Job Title: Career Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Career Specialist to join our team at St. Clair County, IL. As a Career Specialist, you will be responsible for providing employability development and case management services to assigned caseloads under Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title I and Trade Adjustment Assistance Act.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate information on eligibility criteria, documentation requirements, and application procedures to applicants.
- Assess applicant suitability for employment and training programs and services.
- Develop individual employability plans (IEPs) for each applicant, recording all case management-related information.
- Enroll participants in WIOA Title I and Trade Adjustment Assistance Act training programs and/or supportive services.
- Monitor participant achievement of performance standards and maintain knowledge of WIOA programs and related federal, state, and local policy and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Science, Education, Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Two or more years of responsible case management experience preferred.
- Ability to operate computers and office equipment.
