Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver to join our growing team. As an OTR Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining a high standard of customer service. The ideal candidate must have a Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and a strong work ethic.
Requirements
- Safely operate a Class A truck (tractor-trailer) to transport freight over long distances (OTR).
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding transportation and safety.
- Perform pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Plan and follow the most efficient and safest routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HOS records, manifests, mileages, and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays or issues.
- Unload freight as required, with a lifting capacity of up to 35 pounds.
- Ensure the proper handling, delivery, and pickup of cargo, including the proper securing of freight.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications:
- Class A CDL with a valid license.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) with no recent tickets or accidents.
- Clean background check (no criminal history or major infractions).
- Good PSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program) report.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds and handle freight unloading.
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.
