What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production General Labor 2nd Shift position at ST CLAIR FOODS INC?
Description
The Production Line Personnel are responsible for assuring the proper labeling of finished products once placed into the proper size and type of container while adhering to GMP practices, food quality and food safety in their assigned production or working area(s) within the facility.
Responsible for labeling of proper product containers.
Responsible for adding topping to products in a safe and productive manner.
Responsible for cleaning any equipment needed for the process prior to that day's production and for recleaning after the process is finished as stated in the SSOP’s for that room.
Must be able to read and understand product schedule.
Must relate any problems such as ingredient, mechanical, product appearance, or any other mishaps to the Production Supervisor immediately.
Complete work in a timely fashion while maintaining the quality of the product.
Assure product for your line and equipment are protected if other lines are cleaning.
Assure that the containers you are labeling into are clean.
Must be able to read and understand a scale.
Label verification with QC Tech and Production Supervisor.
Help monitor product weight throughout run.Notify Production Supervisor if there is a problem
Follow all GMP’s and SSOP’s for that work area.
Inform the company in case of absence or late arrival.
Follow all safety and security rules.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The employee is frequently exposed to cold and wet and/or humid conditions in
order to perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is often
exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and extreme cold.
All Production Line Personnel will cover each other during their absences.
