What are the responsibilities and job description for the Milieu Safety Specialist ** BONUS ELIGIBLE position at St. Clair Health?
Summary
In accordance with established hospital standards and knowledge of adult development and psychopathology, this position assists the nursing staff in the provision of basic hospital care and the maintenance of a safe and therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must meet one of the following :
Completion of a post-secondary degree in the fields of Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Therapy.
Enrollment in a post-secondary degree program in the fields of Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Therapy. Plus completion of related internship or 1 year of related work experience.
Completion of a healthcare related educational program and 1 year of related work experience.
Two years of experience working in the role of a Milieu Safety Specialist or equivalent.
A fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
