Summary
Assumes 24-hour responsibility for overall operation of assigned area(s). Collaborates with Director in the management of services within the department. Plans, organizes, directs, maintains, and evaluates patient care and unit activities within established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Communicates policies and procedures and departmental and Hospital information to staff, physicians, and customers. Maintains the integrity of the service to meet all accreditation and licensure requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Three years experience in managing operations within a Psychiatry and Mental Health department.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three to five years of progressive management experience.
- Certification in applicable clinical specialty.
- Master’s-level degree in nursing, business, or a health related field.
