What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Food Service #7274 position at St. Clair Hospital?
Summary
Supervises Nutritional Services’ employees in the completion of all duties related to the serving of meals in the Hospital and in maintaining the cleanliness of the food service area and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of at least one of the following:
- Associate’s degree in Food Service Management or a related field.
- Current enrollment in an Associate’s degree program with a major in Food Service Management or related field. Degree completion required within 18 months of hire into position.
- Five years of supervisory experience in the food service industry.
- Six months of experience in food service duties including quality control procedures, sanitation procedures, and the duties associated with each work unit.
- ServSafe Food Safety® certification.
- Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to work independently.
- Fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Previous supervisory experience in a healthcare food service environment.
