Duties/Responsibilities
Must be a graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program approved by the council of Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association (AMA).
Experience
One or more years of clinical experience is preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Licensed in Kentucky for Physical Therapy Asst. and a valid Kentucky Driver’s License.

- Administers treatment/modalities as directed by the staff physical therapist, after the physical therapist has evaluated the patient; treats patients in accordance with professional standards of care and practice based upon the patient’s disability, age and psychosocial needs.
- Provides patient/family/caregiver education based upon the patient’s disability, age and psychosocial needs.
- Prepares professional documentation in a timely manner.
- Exhibits professional communication and management skills.
- Supervises and instructs rehabilitation techs as necessary.
