Responsibilities
- Analyze software applications and systems to identify bugs, errors, and areas for improvement.
- Test software solutions to meet performance, security, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and IT team members to design and implement software solutions that meet the hospital's needs.
- Develop and maintain software documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
- Provide training and support to hospital staff on the use of software applications.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations to improve software infrastructure.
- Participate in the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Monitor and manage software licenses and agreements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software analysis, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Experience with software testing methodologies, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Experience with healthcare-related software applications, such as EHRs, practice management systems, and billing software.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical team members.
- Experience with software documentation and version control tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as HIPAA and HITECH.
