Job Title: Infection Preventionist (IP) RN
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Infection Preventionist (IP) RN to join our team at St. Clare Commons in Perrysburg, OH.
This is a full-time opportunity with a rotating weekend on-call schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Implement infection prevention and control programs in alignment with CDC guidelines to safeguard residents and staff.
- Monitor infection trends, track outbreaks, and report infection data to appropriate health authorities.
- Provide training and education on infection prevention practices for staff, residents, and families.
- Develop and update infection control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Provide on-call services and guidance as needed, with a rotation every fourth weekend.
- Work closely with healthcare teams to address infection-related concerns and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Ohio, CDC Infection Preventionist Certification.
- Previous experience in infection prevention and control, particularly in a healthcare or long-term care setting, is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to educate staff and families on infection control practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
