Responsibilities
About the Role:
As a Sonographer, you will perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality images and accurate interpretations across various specialties. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. This .6 FTE evening shift position offers a balanced work-life integration while making a significant contribution to our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using a variety of equipment, adhering to AIUM standards and departmental protocols.
- Obtain high-resolution images and accurately document findings.
- Perform quality control checks on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and maintain supplies.
- Prepare patients for examinations, explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Accurately record patient history and relevant information.
- Relay emergent exam results promptly to the appropriate physician or medical floor.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure appropriate billing.
- Participate in quality assurance/improvement activities.
- Assist with the training of ultrasound interns (as applicable).
- Perform general office duties as needed (answering phones, scheduling, filing, ordering supplies).
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited diagnostic sonography program and completion of a 12-month internship (or equivalent experience).
- Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current BLS certification.
- Proven knowledge of ultrasound principles, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Range
$40.00 - $61.84 /hour
