St. John the Evangelist Catholic School is seeking a passionate Catholic with a heart for mission to serve as our full-time Head of School for our PreK-12 parish school. In this position, you will lead our parish’s largest ministry as we seek to partner with parents in the educations of their children.
Responsibilities include duties in the areas of mission and Catholic identity, instructional leadership, and executive governance. The Head of School will ensure that the mission and vision of our Catholic school is well articulated, clearly communicated, and faithfully executed so that the goodness, beauty, and truth of a Catholic education remains at the heart of all we do. The Head of School will be responsible for ensuring that the instruction offered in our school is of the highest quality, providing an environment of excellence in which our students will flourish. The Head of School is also responsible for the executive management of the school, especially through leading and supervising our high school principal, elementary school principal, and preschool director.
Paid a salary commensurate with experience, this position may include some weekends and evening hours according to school event schedule. The ideal candidate must be a practicing Catholic and will have a Master’s Degree in Education or a related field and at least five years of experience in teaching and/or administration.

St. John the Evangelist is a Catholic parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Toledo, Ohio located in Delphos – approximately 10 miles northwest of Lima and 40 miles southeast of Fort. Wayne. Our parish school is the largest ministry of our parish with the K-12 campus located across the street from the parish church and a freestanding preschool building one mile southwest of the main campus. With over 700 students enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year, our school is well-established in the community and poised for continued success.
