St Cloud Orthopedics has been providing specialized orthopedic care for nearly 70 years. We are a privately owned clinic, seeking a Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide a blend of urgent care, clinical and surgical care to our patients. As a PA / NP with St. Cloud Orthopedics you will be scheduled to work 4 1 / 2 days a week (36 hours per week) to allow for a greater work / life balance.
We currently have a few PA / NP schedules available.
General Orthopedics PA / NP : Work alongside our experienced Physicians in a combination of the clinic and OR. You will be scheduled 36 hours a week with minimal call responsibilities.
Urgent Injury Care (UIC) Schedule : Love the Urgent Care setting? This is a great opportunity for you! This position will cover evenings and weekends at our urgent injury care clinic. Hours will be 9AM-3PM Saturday and Sunday and weeknights from 5PM-8PM. Full benefits are available to anyone working at least 30 hours per week.
Essential Duties will include :
- Performs orthopedic screening and evaluation, assembles appropriate diagnostic tests for physician review, prescribes medications, educates patient and performs treatment as directed by physician.
- Provides acute and chronic patient care including taking histories, giving injections and medications, performing sterile procedures, aspirations, pin removals and suturing, assisting in positioning patients for x-rays, and applying / removing casts, splints, orthotics and dressings.
- Assists with surgical procedures by preparing and positioning patient for surgery, assisting in set-up of room, acting as 1st or 2nd assistant during procedure, reviewing consent forms and notes to ensure correct procedure.
- Round on post-operative patients
- Is on-call with a physician on a rotating schedule, which is minimal.
Education :
Graduate from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Masters level program.
Requirements :
Certification as Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, MN Physician Assistant License, BLS and CPR certification required.
