Teacher Assistant
At St. Colman's, we strongly believe in the importance of education for ALL students. We are currently seeking an energetic, dedicated individual to add to our team.
St. Colman’s Home welcomes students ranging from 5 to 21 years of age in our education program. We are a day treatment program that is comprised of students with a wide variety of special needs. We currently have 8 classrooms that are at a 6:1:1 student to teacher ratio. At St. Colman’s Home each classroom strives to provide individualized instruction to fit the needs of each student. Our school offers a full curriculum in a structured, supportive environment providing students with a variety of academic and vocational opportunities.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic, caring individuals to fill several TA and 1:1 Aide positions.
Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrates flexibility and patience
Supports student goals in the areas of academics, socio-emotional and vocational skills
Develop positive, meaningful relationships with students
Exhibits a positive attitude with colleagues and students
Support instructional classroom teams
Attend staff meetings and classroom debriefs
Demonstrates a passion for working with At-Promise students
Be willing to obtain and maintain Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) certification through our agency training program
YOU WILL BE TRAINED FOR THIS POSITION - MUST HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR G.E.D.
