What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Wait Staff (PT) position at St. Croix Casino?
RATE OF PAY: $9.00/HR. TIPS *Possible Pay Increase of 0% - 3% After 90 Days.
JOB SUMMARY: Provide friendly and excellent service to every guest.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. Prefer prior wait staff experience. Experience serving wine and cocktails is helpful.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to maneuver from restaurant to kitchen area and back again, delivering food and beverage orders during the entire shift. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and tolerate high temperatures in the kitchen area. Must be able to lift and carry trays. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of fifteen (15) pounds. Must be able to get to tables and wait on them in a timely and efficient manner. Must be able to keep work area(s) clean throughout the shift. Must be able to write and/or enter customer orders on POS System, listen and respond to visual and oral cues. Must be able to tolerate smoke-filled environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Pleasantly greet and take guest food and beverage orders. Input orders in computer, serves customer, delivers food orders from kitchen and beverage orders from bar. Handle and solve any concerns or questions in a fair and professional manner from guests and employees. Must clear and reset tables. Must complete all side work as assigned by Supervisor or Dining Room Manager.
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
