What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Staff position at St. Croix Casino?
JOB SUMMARY: Friday-Tuesday 3pm-11pm As a member of the Maintenance Staff, you will be responsible for carrying out Maintenance policies and procedures and other activities needed to carry out the maintenance objectives and programs in order to protect the assets of the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Two years’ experience in plant maintenance preferred. Verbal communication skills are a must. A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record as per DOT Program guidelines, and is able to meet our insurance criteria preferred.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to listen and respond to visual and oral signals. Ability to effectively work independently or as part of a team player. Must be able to handle multiple projects with the added ability to prioritize such projects. Able to move quickly to problem areas. Must be able to tolerate a sometimes noisy, secondhand smoke in a smoke-filled environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to bend, stoop, stretch and climb. Must be able to stand, walk and perform duties for an eight (8) hour shift or more. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Complete maintenance jobs up to standards for the department. Perform any and all assigned maintenance. Such duties may include: taking out trash, minor repairs, regular maintenance of property, doing heavy lifting, carrying, setting up and tearing down of stage or tables, maintaining the grounds, other duties as instructed.
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory training. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
